You can't get back to design mode directly from edit mode, but if you
close the table and return to the main window, you can right-click on
the icon for the table and select Edit. There are still some kinds of
changes that require a new table definition, though. What are you trying
to change? If it's just something like increasing the length of a
VARCHAR string, or adding a new field, you should be OK.
