Hi guys Thanks as usual for your speedy replies. It worked this time. FYI I was leaving the "like" out. Now OK. I had a list of headings with the same word followed by a number e.g book 1 etc. The entry has to be ...LIKE 'book*' the star at the end since the number in the heading is at the end. But with both stars it works just the same.
