If you want to create a Word document you need to use File>Save As. Then
choose the correct format from the drop-down list of available formats
*and* ensure the box labelled "Automatic file name extension" is ticked.
Simply saving with a ".doc" extension is *not* sufficient. If I
misunderstood your question, sorry, my French is not too good :-(
