> I believe the behaviour is as follows: OOo's Paste assumes you want to keep
the charasterics of the copied text. If you want to lose these and force the
copied text to conform to the receiving cell's format, use Paste Special and
select Unformatted text. For convenience the Paste button on the toolbar
allows this option via its little drop-down list. Or you can add a specific
Paste Special button to the toolbar using View>Toolbars>Customise and
*Add*ing the Paste Special button from the Edit menu to whichever toolbar
you like.
