Hi

It's easy. I'll give you approximate instructions since my WinXP is in
spanish.

Go to:

Control Panel / Regional settings and language / Advanced options (the last
tab)

In there you can select all the languages you want to be able to see
correctly. ("Page codes conversion tables")

I guess it would be enough selecting one of the following (I have the three
of them selected, but I live in Mexico):

10029 (MAC - Latín II)
28599 (ISO 8859-9 Latín 5)
28605 (ISO 8859-15 Latín 9)

Or you could simply find which ones are selected in your computer where you
can see the characters fine, and put the same in your laptop.
