Hi Mark - I'm just trying to understand and simplify things here. I'm sorry if my comments are a bit thick.
I need to get the sum of column 1 * column 2 but only when the value > in column 1 is either negative or positive. If the value is positive or negative, you want to multiply the values in the two columns. But what if the value is zero. You don't want the product to be included in the sum? But the product would be zero, and adding zero would be the same as not adding the product at all. I'm sorry if I've misunderstood, but if I'm right, you want to sum the products whether they are positive, negative or zero. That sounds a whole lot simpler. Adrian
