Guy's original instruction does not say to me this is the correct file
if you want the US english version.
How ever once the fact is pointed out that the US english version in
unlabeled as such I can interpret Guy's instruction correctly.
Thanks for the help and even more thanks to apple for screwing up the
functionality of the version of OpenOffice I was running causing me to
have to bother you good folks!

Ok I downloaded and opened the FILE
"OOo_3.0.0rc2_MacOSXIntel_SDK_install_en-US.dmg" There is no Open
Office Application file in the resulting OpenOffice.org3.0_SDK
folder.
this was the only file I found in the OOo_3.0.0rc2 folder that
indicates en-US
Any more help finding the correct file to download would be greatly
appreciated.
If you had read the instructions you would not need any more help.
Guy said "You download the US English version
(OOo_3.0.0rc2_MacOSXIntel_install.dmg or ...PPC_install.dmg)".
The US English versions DO NOT have _en-US in the file name. Is it
clear now?
