It takes a few steps, but it can be done.
1) Export your KDE address book as a *.cvs file. (Give it the name you
prefer.)
2) Open a new spreadsheet in OOo 1.1.4.
3) Then open your address *.cvs file. You will be given some choices. In
the "Separated by" section, make sure "Comma" is checked (ticked).
"Tab" does not have to be checked in this section. You should see the
cells of the new spreadsheet in the window.
4) Click OK.
5) Save this spreadsheet using "Save As" and selecting the "File type"
as "dBase (.dbf)". Click OK. Click OK again in the DBase export window.
6) Select "Tools " then "Data Sources..." to open the Data Source
Administration window.
7) Click on "New Data Source". Enter the name for your KDE addressbook
database. Select "dBase" from the "Database type". Click on the button
to the far right of "Data source URL". Browse to the directory (folder)
where you saved the *.dbf file. Click "Select". Click OK.
If you now push the F4 button, you should see your addressbook
database listed above or below the Bibliography database in the top
window.
