Thanks so much for responding, I really appreciate it! When I didn't hear
back, I askeda friend and she suggested "AppCleaner" which I downloaded for
free. I just dragged the
application into the folder, and it automatically found all the other bits
and removed them.
I still appreciate your response, because I know where to check so I know
it's all gone. Also
it's always nice to know there is somebody out there when I send a question!

To answer your question, I finally decided to buy Microsoft Office for
Mac:2008, thus no
longer need OpenOffice. I learned Word, Excel and Powerpoint on very, very
old versions
and decided to go back for ease.

Thanks again.

PS by the by, who are you?

Hello,

No automagic removal... just remove like you would any other program from
your Mac.
X11 sits in the Application/Utilities folder
OpenOffice.org in the Applications folder
Just drag their icons to the trash

Additional OOo files are in your Library/Application Support
Drag the OpenOffice folder you find there to the trash

It's maybe a more automagic if you use Spotlight: enter OpenOffice.org and
see what it finds.
You can trash directly from the Show All window

Just a question: why do you want to get rid of OOo?
The 3.0.0 Aqua version (without X11) is almost ready to be released (release
candidate available at GoodDay:
http://ooopackages.good-day.net/pub/OpenOffice.org/MacOSX/3.0.0rc2/
The US English version is the only one with no a language designation -
other languages available)
