If you intend to still use the 2.4 version, then make sure that you set up OOo3.0 to save the documents using ODF 1.0/1.1 (you can find this option in Tools > Options > Load/Save > General > ODF format version. Failure to do so has the potential of completely messing up your bullet and numbered lists. This is because in OOo3 the parameters to control the position of the bullet, indentation and so on have completely changed. In simple circumstances OOo does a decent job, but if you heavily customized your numbered list styles you may be in trouble. Second, is it possible to convert a whole bunch of OOo 2.4 files to OOo > 3.0 format on a command line? I am not an expert on using OOo from the command line, but it should not be too difficult to open all the files in a directory with OOo3.0, save them and finally close them. > > > Any other insights in to working with OOo files during the transition > from version 2.4 to 3.0? See above: the main issue I found was the new design of the position page of the numbered list dialog. Cheers, Michele
