Has anyone tried using the new Language tool extension?
Yes - OOo 3.0.0 rc3 / LT 0.9.4 / WinXP.
It's working fine.
I read that it can only be used in OOo 3.0 rc3
That's right. Please see ->
Issue 93883
GCF: Office crashes on simple editing with LanguageTool extension
<http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=93883>
but it seems to do nothing.
I am running Windows Vista Home Basic with SP1 installed.
I have tried using the icon (now between the two spelling icons), and tried
to use >tools >LanguageTool options (i.e. check text, configuration and
about). None of them seem to do anything.
Perhaps some more details?
I have Java runtime environment set up as 1.6.0_07.
Me too.
Any suggestions would be appreciated as Language tool 0.9.2 is failing when
I use it in OOo 3.0 rc3.
OOo 3.x and LT 0.9.2 don't match.
You may try with the Dummy Text? ->
Typing <dt> -> <F3>
'lying' and '...? he' should be underlined in blue color.
You may also use the blue 'ABC' for 'Spelling and Grammar'

I did not have quickstarter running. I eventually got it working when I
stopped OOo 3 and then restarted it. Now it is working well.
Thanks
