Would a single table with a blank column in the middle be OK? That's the easiest way. If you really need two tables side by side you can do it by making the relevant part of the page a separate *section* having two *columns*. You can now create a table in each column. These tables can now be moved up and down independently of each other to achieve whatever alignment you like. If the tables are large enough horizontally you might not need a special section; just format the page to have two columns and proceed as before. See the Help about Sections and about Columns for details but, basically, Insert>Section>Columns>2 and then Insert or, for a whole page, Format>Page>Columns>2 and then OK. -- Harold Fuchs London, England Please reply *only* to [email protected]
