Hi ,

I have been using OOo for some time now, but the latest install of OOo2.0Beta has me puzzled. Why make /opt the default directory, why not give me the option to install it in /usr/local where I have Acrobat and Netscape and Mozilla and Gramps, etc.

Nothing ever goes in /opt, I have no idea why it should be retained, but I am really miffed over this as my root directory (which includes /opt) is not big enough to permit OOo2.0 to install there. In previous versions we could choose where we put it, so how can I alter the install process to enable an install to /usr/local.

The alternative is to resize my /home partition and make an /opt partition - bummer.
