I believe this problem has to do with different 'start dates' in Mac and
Windows. I had the same isuue a few years ago when switching an Excel
worksheet from a Windows environment to my Mac.

!!! load a xls file into Calc > Select all or part of a sheet> Copy > Paste
in new Calc file
result: all dates are 4 years and 1 day younger (18/apr/06 becomes
17/apr/02)
cause: known issue between Windows and Mac versions of Excel (1904 instead
of 1900).

see in Help (Calc) under Date, Start
