Regarding the PDF Import Extension (Linux): http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=90739 I've found that it does not work on OOo3.0_m9(RC4) - linux. It _does_ work in StarOffice 9 (which is akin to OOo3.0Beta2).
