Hi, I used Safari to download at Mac OSX 10.5.5 (Leopard) the open
office 2.4, which does not open at all and which I cannot close
either. I would like to unistall it completely. Do you know how I can
do that ?
Restart your computer and you will be able to uninstall OO.o 2.4.
The newest Mac OS X Leopard update 10.5.5 causes problems with X11 and
OO.o 2.4
There is a work around for the X11 Time out
http://shaunmcdonald131.blogspot.com/2008/03/ooo-possible-fix-for-command-timed-out.html
Also you may need to install latest X11 from
http://xquartz.macosforge.org/trac/wiki/Releases
A simpler solution that I highly recommend is to install OO.o 3.0. It
does not require X11. Release candidates are available now. The final
release is out in a week or two.
