Hello All,

Anyone know the format for the MySpell dictionary files that OO uses?

When I look into them they have all these extra "/M" & other / things. I
have a Word medical dictionary with only a single word per line and no extra
characters.

English OO dictionary example:
----------------------------------------
62074
a
A
AA
AAA
Aachen/M
aardvark/SM
Aaren/M
Aarhus/M
Aarika/M
Aaron/M
AB
aback
abacus/SM
abaft
Abagael/M
Abagail/M
abalone/SM
abandoner/M
abandon/LGDRS
----------------------------------------

Help, I do a lot of work on medical documents and without a dictionary OO
will not be usable.

Chuck
Hi Chuck

Not a good idea to start a new topic by replying to an old, I nearly missed this one. Many of us use threaded mail readers, and may ignore a particular thread.

Did you look at :
http://lingucomponent.openoffice.org/dictionary.html

And

Have a look at a thread starting:
http://www.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=users&msgNo=79519

There was a bit more on [EMAIL PROTECTED]:
http://www.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=discuss&msgId=1513670

Installing a word list once you have it in plain text form is not very hard, please ask if you need more specific help.

Russell
