Hello René, The latest Leopard (10.5.5) update messes up the use of X11 and OpenOffice.org (that is, the versions of OOo that need X11 to function on Mac). You better download the Aqua version OOo 3.0.0. It works without X11 and is native on Leopard (and other OS X macs) http://www.openoffice.org/ you get either the normal page, or the emergency page (because the site went down with evrybody trying to download the 3.0.0 release available since Monday) or you can get the RC4 in your preferred language from the GoodDay site. In fact, the RC4 is the same as the official release http://ooopackages.good-day.net/pub/OpenOffice.org/MacOSX/3.0.0rc4/ choose PowerPC or Intel and your language (US_en goes without language indication) [don't download the SDK, software developer kit - that isn't the US_en program) Good luck, and post any question back to the list -- Guy using dutch OOo Aqua 3.0.0 RC4 on a iMac Intel DualCore Tiger and brazilian OOo Aqua 3.0.0 RC4 on an Intel MacBook Pro Leopard -- please reply only to [email protected] -- Dodoes can't afford to have headaches
