Came this utterance fomulated by Nancy Russell to my mailbox:

> I just went to my in bos and counted 16 messages so far today alone.
> By the time the day is over it will probably be 30 messages. Maybe

This list is considered a moderate volume list. You don't want to
subscribe to a developer list ;)

There are several alternatives for your issue. Two of which have been
suggested.

 * Unsubscribe and renew your subscription as digest. AFAIK there is
no method to swap from normal to digest. Instructions here:
http://www.openoffice.org/mail_list.html

 * Learn how to set up a seperate folder and filter on your email
client.

 * Join the GMane Newsgroup as shown on the above page - read the
emails on-line.

 * Use a gmail account (the space limit is growing faster than the
emails can arrive). However, gmail's threading is non-standard.

 * Use the forum instead.

As a side note folks i thought the mailing list page above or the
support page below warned of high traffic flow on this list. I can't
seem to find a warning.
