The first time I saw this problem was in a word document in which the
text was typed in one of the columns directly. The purpose of such
document is that in the one column the text is in one language and in
the other is translated, so you can see the text in two languages at the
same time. The table is ordinary: MSWord document -> create table /no
row height, or something like this/. Although this document was
confidential I tried to copy the effect in other document and it was the
same. I created a table in word and just copied some text aprox. 23
pages and OO couldn't display it.
I'm sending this document to you.
Thank you very much.

Hello,
I have a document written in MS Word 2003, which contains one table
with two columns and one row. In the one of the columns there is a
text, which is apox. 22-23 pages /in MSWord/. When tried to open this
file in OpenOffice it displays only part of the document - sometimes
from the beginning to some page, sometimes from the middle/, and I
could not find a way to see the whole document.
Please help!
Thank you.
How did you enter the text in Word? Is it in a text box or other
object, or just entered directly? Did you specify a row height
anywhere? This is an unusual structure and there may be a better way
to deal with it, like breaking the long stream of text into meaningful
subdivisions, each in a separate row. I don't know if Writer has a
maximum row height, but if so that could be what's happening.
If the table is not confidential, you could send it to me offline and
I'll take a look.
