Thanks Peter for your reply, I am downloading Openoffice 1.1.4
However, with the generic instructions for file association, this seems to talk about how to associate Word documents with Word, rather than documents saved in Openoffice and not associated with the program. Every time I open an openoffice document, I could open it with openoffice (right-mouse button), but this is a pain.
