@Guy I have used the extension with OO.o 3 under Ubuntu 8.10 without problem - as for what to check, perhaps your Java runtime. IIRC, the extension is written in java. I am using the actual Sun JRE not the distro supplied java look-a-like packages, those oft seem to cause problems.
