As per : http://download.openoffice.org/1.1.4/security_patch.html copy
the downloaded patch file into the same directory that the current one
exists. If you don't know where the current one lives, do a search on
your hard drive for the file name.

If you go down the custom installation you do get to choose the
components. If you go down the standard installation you do not get to
choose.

It sounds like you've already selected the appropriate components,
therefore you have gone down the custom install. Continue along that
path if your comfortable doing so.
