Here's a workaround. Label your sheets as necessary in the top rows or left columns (as appropriate) of each sheet. Format those labels to make them as easily readable as you wish or need. Perhaps use background tints to colour code them, even. In each sheet, select the first row *below* those that contain this labelling or the first column *to the right* of those columns and go to Window | Freeze. The appropriate rows or columns will now remain displayed in the document window as you move around the sheet to enter your data - so you will always know which sheet you are on. (If you want both initial columns and initial rows to remain displayed, select the single first cell not in those columns and rows before using Window | Freeze.)
If necessary, define print ranges so that your material will print without this additional labelling.
