[users] problems downloading openoffice

I have a IMac (Leopard 10.5 intel processor). When trying to download  
the software the browser tells me it can't initialize the download.  
I've tried Safari as well as Firefox, both with the same result.
I've also tried to copy the url, paste it in 'Finder>Go>connect with  
server window. Both browsers tell me that the url can not be found, it  
is not 'in the network'. What can I do?
