Dear Guy, I am terribly sorry to hear that!
The patcher only modified the OpenOffice.org.app/Contents/basis-link/program/uno.py file, and this file is only used by Python extensions. I have now tried deleting this file, and OpenOffice.org still starts up fine (the Python extensions do not work now of course). So I have a hard time imagining how the patch could have rendered your installation unable to start. I will still describe of course how to undo the patch: The patcher itself includes the original version of uno.py. Assuming the default locations for the patcher and the OpenOffice.org application, you can undo the patch from the terminal with the following command line: cp /Volumes/OOo\ 3.0\ Python\ Patcher/OOo\ 3.0\ Python\ Patcher.app/Contents/Resources/uno.py.orig /Applications/OpenOffice.org.app/Contents/basis-link/program/uno.py (This should of course go on a single line.) However there can be different reasons for OpenOffice.org not starting up. In my experience sometimes OpenOffice.org crashes, but does not exit. In this case you can not start it again, because it is still running. You could try to see if you can force-quit it or kill it from the terminal. Another possible reason for the application not starting up is when something gets messed up in the user configuration files. I am guessing that maybe when you tried installing our extension earlier, OpenOffice.org was not able to install it fully because of the problem with Python, but it still managed to install part of it, and now that the Python support is fixed, that half-installed extension is acting up. To make sure this is not the case, you could remove the ~/Library/Application Support/OpenOffice.org directory. This cleans all personal settings and extensions, and restores OpenOffice.org to the state before it was first started. Please let me know how this problem is solved, because if there is in fact some problem caused by the patcher, we will have to fix it immediately. So far I have only heard of positive experiences from users, so I hope your problem is not directly caused by the patcher either.
