Greetings,
We are designing our first OO template and creating our first character
styles. From other products, we are used to being able to create character
styles that only override selected font properties. For example, we might
create a charstyle called "Emphasis" that italicizes the text to which it is
applied, without changing the underlying parastyle properties other than
italics.
In the Character Styles dialog, this does not appear to be possible. For
example, when we eliminate the font size, the program reinserts it when we
click "OK". Or, in the Font Effects tab, we cannot see a way to leave
underlining, bold, etc unchanged ... we see only "without" or some other
formatting choice.
Is there a way to create character styles, such that only specified font
properties are affected?
