You can use Insert|Object|OLE-Object. Then check the radiobutton From file and locate the Calc-sheet you want to insert. Also check the checkbox Link to file. This creates a dynamic link to your spreadsheet, so if you make changes to the sheet they also show in your Writer-document.
By doubleclicking the object in your Writer-document you can access the Calc-sheet and perform a datafilter for the dates of the week you want to show in the "notes".
