Hello all,
I'm wondering whether anyone has used Writer in addition to JabRef (open
source bibliography reference managing tool,
http://jabref.sourceforge.net/). In particular, I'd be curious if anyone
has experience in creating a *.layout filter which can be imported by
Writer and used as literatur-database. Afaik, it should be an *.osd
file, readble by base (?).
The issue we have here at the moment that the reference list (of a
paper) would read like.
Lastname1, Firstname1, and Lastname2, Firstname2, and Lastname3,
Firstname3, ...
However, the desired output would rather read like that:
Lastname1, Firstname2, Lastname2, Firstname2, ...., and Firstname(n),
Lastname(n).
This is just one of the formating issues ;).
(Endproduct should read like:
Miller, P., D., Mayer, and J.K. Bolt. 2211. Experiences with Writer and
Calc. J. Appl. Computing. 111:432-450.)
I know that you can edit the order of entries, add "," and other marks.
But that doesn't solve the issue.
And I'm aware that it might be more an issue of exporting the data-set
in JabRef than an importing issue of ooo3. Posted at JabRef's board as
well. But it seems this mailing-list is used by far more people. And
thus, the possibility that anyone has a solution for this is much
greater ;).
Used version:
ooo3m5 Build:9350 (I know, I should update)
JabRef: 2.4
OS: Mac OSX 10.4
Sorry for the long post. ;)
Cheers for any input!
Regards,
Janosch

Just in case no-one else can help. I have used Zotero. This links to
both OOo and Firefox to capture and output bibliographoc information. It
may be worth looking into if no-one else can help with JabRef.
