i can't make heads or tails out of the open office
database program. i'm not a hacker or database user.
all i want to do is create a list of movies, make
recommendations for other similar movies and have the
results show up in the other film's recommendations
eg.
ghostbusters...
then, if i mention ghostbusters under men in black,
then men in black shows up as a recommendation for
ghostbusters.
you know, a simple "tag comparison" database. i
haven't a clue about tables etc. it's all chinese to
me.
i see a "title box" where i type a title and a
recommendation box where i type all of the films
someone should look into.
there was no template for such a thing and when i
thought i was doing that, i was doing who knows what
else. i'm not a techie.
if i can't get the database to do thissimple thing,
i'll do it the easy way... create a webpage titled for
each movie with the recommendations in the text and a
custom google search engine that will list every
mention of a title seached for.
it's slow, clunky and not automatic, but
understandable.
can you help me with this extremely basic concept IN
ENGLISH?

out the program's wall of hackerese only gave me a headache.
