OOo 3 on Win XP Pro 64 What is the preferred way to insert a graphic in relation to some text? What I currently do is: - position the cursor in some text (or at a blank paragraph) - Insert > Picture > From file (browse to find .jpg or .png file) - grab the lower-right corner of the inserted picture and shrink it to desired size.
When I'm inserting graphic items into table cells, what conditions would cause the graphic to extend outside the boundaries of its cell, triggered (usually) when I make a change in another cell lower in the table? I can usually get around it by resizing things, including stretching the cell boundary, but later on, I'll add or delete something in another cell (same column, always) and a graphic item will suddenly overflow its cell and overlay the text or graphics in the following cell or two. It's such a touchy/jumpy unpredictable (to me) situation that I assume I'm doing something wrong. I'm doing nothing that's not permitted by the OOo interface. So what's the problem? I can't afford unstable documents, so I need to start getting this right. Any help out there? - Kevin The information contained in this electronic mail transmission may be privileged and confidential, and therefore, protected from disclosure.
