However, the Mac versions are 2.4.0 or 2.4.1.

NOTE: The US English versions do not have _en-US in the file name. The
file name for US English Intel version is
OOo_2.4.2rc1_MacOSXIntel_X11_install.dmg
If you have a PPC Mac or want a different language, select appropriate file.
Also, there was a problem introduced with an update to Mac OS that prevents
the X11 versions from running
The problem was on OS 10.5.xx (Leopard). It should work okay on OS
10.4.xx (Tiger).
