Tried it again, Mozilla Firefox 1.0.3, Fully updated WinXP and Adobe 7.0.1.

Firefox cranks away for a minute or so and then produces the error message from Acrobat.

I tried downloading the file and opening from my desktop - that works ok. Must be a non-OO interface problem

You're surely talking about the link mentioned _below_, which is displayed and even searched fine here with the integrated pdf viewer of konqueror 3.4, kpdf, and acroread 7.0 on SuSE 9.3.

Did you tried also a current acroread/suffering a proxy problem?
