That "Office Applications" you bought at the Apple store is not
connected in any way that I know of (but then I'm a linux x86 user)
with this group, which is a support group for Suns freely
downloadable programs available at <http://www.openoffice.org>
This group is 100% volunteer support only for the various current
releases of OpenOffice, usually referred to as OOo plus version
number.

If the store sold you incompatible software, then I say they have an
obligation to either make it work(I don't think they can), or refund
your money. Get more insistant on your warranty rights if its a
commercial program.

I suspect, but I've reading beween the lines, that the "Office
Applications" you have is only compatible up to Mac OS9. We see a
lot of questions and recommendations for Mac OSX users to install
NeoOffice, which is compatible with OSX 10.2+, so maybe thats the
program you _should_ have been sold, but since is free, they won't
even mention it as there is no profit to accrue. That IS available
free for the download from a link on the above site, I just checked.

You can take your pick of OOo or NeoOffice at this link:
<http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/ooo-osx_downloads.html>

Good luck.
