When you install OpenOffice, there should be a folder & icons in your
Start menu.  Also, with version 3, you are given the option of placing
an icon on your desktop.  There may also be a quick starter icon towards
the right end of your taskbar.  Are you missing all of these?  Are you
sure you had a proper install?  If so, you should have been taken
through some configuration panels.  Did you see those?
