To overcome it: 1. Disconnect your computer from the internet (pull the plug from the wall socket). 2. Turn off your AV software and firewall. 3. Install OpenOffice. You won't be able to register as you are not connected to the net so say "register later" or "never register", 4. Restart your firewall and AV. 5. Connect to the net; never leave your computer connected to the net if your AV and firewall are not both running properly.
