I have downloaded a document with a ".doc" extension but am unable to open
it as a text in my VISTA Home basic computer. I'm a very new user for
OpenOffice.org (just today!) and tried to use it to open the file but got an
error
message "General input/output error".
Can you advise me on how to open a .doc file?
