There is a problem with SAMBA mounts and OpenOffice. The lock
doesn't work as it should. So when a userA have a document DOC1 open on editing and an user B want to open the same document he can do it, without knowing there is another user in the document. When he writes his changes his changes or the other users changes are lost depending which one writes last. This is a big issue. I do not know it is due to OpenOffice or Samba or both. On direct mounted Linux partitions it works fine. Maybe it has the same roots because I too have in the fileselect box only Linux partitions. (==> lib problems with compiled version of OO?) I have to go to other partitions via "/mnt" or" media". With open office 2.4, we were able to directly see the other partitions when we go to "open" or "save as" functions. is there any solution for this problem or do we have to wait Ubuntu Jaunty?System: Ubuntu 8.10, Kernel linux: 2.6.27-11, GNOME: 2.24.1 Tahnks F.
