[users] auto save time taken

I have brought this issue up a few times without any result, from my 
workstation documents are taken from a file server, when auto saving 
locally though, the time taken to do this is unacceptably long, even 
when this autosave function is directed to the local machine not the 
file server. Does anyone else experience this delay?
