The code is a little "large" and not as easy to hand edit, then hand
coding or one from an editor like KompoZer, but it is much better
than the coding created by MS Word.
I use to hand code, then switched to KompoZer. But if you want
to use OpenOffice.org for you basic web page work, go right ahead.
Just do not try to add any JavaScripts. OOo tried to "convert" the
scripts I had in one of my pages to HTML and it failed. The file size
was about 30% larger than a hand coded version.
But if you just want a basic web page, go for it. It is better
than hand coding if you are a beginner.
