I am not so sure that many actual email clients respect that RFC's behaviour, and I would not rely upon the replier to check that his reply is going to the right place. Presumably that is why the header was added in the first place, even though it should have been added for the OP as well if he is not subscribed. The Linux-IL mailing list does not have the Reply-To header set, and I get many messages addressed to me that should have stayed on list.
