If you've kept all the messages in the thread the OP's will still show
up as flagged/highlighted (a thread can easily contain a mixture of
flagged and unflagged messages) so you can see if a later response needs
to be forwarded. The real problem comes when you've discarded the thread
(or even just the original message) and then something interesting turns
up. I don't think there's a solution for that.
I do wish the moderators of this list would get their fingers out and
fix this thing once and for all. Can you hear me, mother?
