I've had no issues with installing the debs to the default /opt. I've just installed the most recent DEV300_m41 and it went in smooth as can be. ~/tempdir/DEV300_m41_native_packed-1_en-US.9383/DEBS$ sudo dpkg -i *.deb Selecting previously deselected package ooobasis-dev3.0-base. [snip] Setting up ooo-dev3-base (3.0.0-41) ... Setting up ooo-dev3-calc (3.0.0-41) ... Setting up ooobasis-dev3.0-binfilter (3.0.0-41) ...
