Hi,
I'm finding something that seems to interfer with fully using the Paste
Special: Link and Shared features. I'm using the 3.0.1 m15 build in
Windows Vista.
- I create a from.ods and a to.ods
- I copy a cell from the from.ods and paste it with Paste Special > Link
into the to.ods.
- I close both and save both.
- I open to.ods and choose to update links (if I don't, the changes from
from.ods are no longer linked to to.ods)
- I open from.ods and it is opened in read-only mode. I don't remember
this happening before.
- If I click the Edit File icon in from.ods then I can edit the file and
everything works fine, but most users aren't going to do that.
Now, when I first share from.ods and save it and close it, and follow
the same steps, opening the file to.ods and choosing to update links
does the same thing, *and* the file from.ods is no longer shared.
Is this something new for which there is a workaround? Any insights, am
I missing something?
