If you are willing to find out a "permanent" solution, you will have to
switch the Operating System of your Mac to OSX or maybe
http://www.yellowdoglinux.com/products/. After that you will able to
run/install OpenOffice... besides if you only want to make the
conversion for 1 file.. maybe somefriend of you (using OpenOffice) could
convert the file for you...or somebody on the list cand do it if you
have the time and/or can do it....
