OK, All that having been said already,
You can force what you are asking for with extra columns or rows of
data, with the additional columns or rows being mathematically
adjusted downward by the amount to create the shadow line where you
want it. Then you have to manually adjust the color to the shadow
color you want.

When choosing the Chart Type, does choosing Line and 3D Lines approach
what you want? You can also change the 3D line's transparency by
double-clicking on the line itself and altering the various parameters.
