Hi, I've had the first OOo alpha version 3.1 installed for a couple of days.
My first impressions are that this new release will be /Fast/. It opens in about a third of the time of previous builds. So I think the coders have really been tweaking that side of OOo. Visible improvements seem to be graphical, such as anti-aliased drawings. There are several new improvements.
