[users] New user of Thunderbird Mail

I am a new user of Thunderbird, and have two questions.  I read several 
weeks ago that settings can be changed so that animations can be 
inserted into a message.  Can anyone direct me to the proper procedure 
for making this happen?  Second, I cannot understand the method 
described in various forums which will allow msn,com mail be opened in 
Thunderbird.  Can anyone help me with that?
