application a) doesn't recognise that path and b) doesn't save new
templates in the modified location?
I don't have Vista or OOo 3.x but have you tried
1. Start Writer
2. Exit the Quickstarter (System Tray)
3. Change the path
4. Exit Writer
It used to be that certain changes to settings wouldn't "stick" if they
were made while the Quickstarter was running. Such a problem may still
exist. Alternatively someone else on this list may have the correct
solution ...
