As far as I can see Writer creates the pasted data as a "table". Tables have default borders which can be changed using the table formatting menu: select the table (position the cursor close to the table's top left corner; a small black arrow will appear which should be pointing "south east" and the message "select whole table" should appear. Click to select. As you click, the Table Formatting Toolbar should appear (unless you've already made it permanently visible). From there you can select the table's borders (icon that looks like a table's borders!) and change them to "none".
